Hello readers!
We here in the northeast are about to get hit with a huge snowstorm, in fact they are calling it a blizzard!!! I can't remember the last time I experienced a blizzard, probably the early 1980's, when I was pretty young. They say that this storm is going to be epic, possibly surpassing records of storms past! We could get 2-3 feet!
Now you may be wondering why I have chosen to post about this, since thus far it has nothing to do with anything "home," or does it? Well, winter just happens to be my favorite season and snow is one of things I deeply enjoy in life! It has been this way since I can remember. Maybe it's because I was born in the middle of a snowstorm or maybe it's just because there is something so majestic and peaceful about a snowy day. Either way, I'm very excited! I'm prepared, ready, safe and warm at home, and if any of you are from this region of the US, I pray that you are also. Now, once the snow begins, here is my plan...
❄ Make a cup of cocoa for me and my hubby
❄ Get comfy into pjs or sweats
❄ Open wide all the curtains to watch the magic
❄ In a few hours, throw on the snowsuit, run outside and make one of these...

Life...Give Me Lemons!
Hello Readers!
Has anyone ever grown a citrus tree at home? I haven't but I have always had a desire to have a lemon tree to call my own. They don't seem too hard to care for, but then again neither are herbs and I have never had success keeping any herb alive longer than 2 months, so I definitely do not have experience on my side! Nor do I have climate on my side, since by no means do I live anywhere toasty or tropical. There is actually snow on the ground right now. Alas, I hear you can grow them in any climate, indoor or outdoor, and little pruning is required, so I think this is the year that I must embark on this gardening adventure. Come spring, I will hunt around my local garden centers and see what I can find as far as plants go. I'll revisit this post then with an update and hopefully have knowledge and pictures to share of a beautiful lemon tree! Until then, I'd love to hear from you gardeners out there of any tips I can pack in my suitcase before this voyage sets sail!
Ahoy!
Cristen
Welcome
Hello Dear Readers!
I thank you for visiting my blog today and supporting me in this new venture. I believe that life should be shared, experienced, braved, purposed and lived! I aspire to share with you anything and everything I am brave enough to try, inside and outside the four walls of my little house. If you read my profile or have seen my other blog, you know that for many years I was a jewelry designer on etsy, but home design has always been my overflowing cup of tea! I'm excited to share projects and ideas as I fix up my home. I hope you enjoy sharing in this journey with me!
Blessings,
Cristen
